【摘要】:Thistestmethodisanacceleratedtestfordetectingthepresenceofresidual(internal)stressesthatmightresultinfailureofindividualpartsinstorageorinserviceduetostresscorrosioncracking.Thistestmethodisnotintendedforuseonassembliesorpartsunderappliedstress.Ifusedforthatpurpose,theresultsshallbeforinformationonlyandnotacauseforrejectionoftheassembly,itscomponentparts,ortheoriginalmillproduct.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthetechniqueforconductingthemercurousnitratetestforresidualstressesinwroughtcopperandcastorwroughtcopper-basedalloyproducts.Thistestmethodisintendedtocoverthemercurousnitratetestofcertaincopper-alloyproductssuppliedinaccordancewithASTMspecificationspreparedbyCommitteeB05.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtobeusedonassembledparts.Note18212;Foranyparticularcopperalloy,referenceshouldbemadetothematerialspecification.1.2Units8212;ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminestheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ForspecificprecautionaryandhazardstatementsseeSections1,6,and7.(Warning8212;Mercuryisadefinitehealthhazardinuseanddisposal.)
