【摘要】:Paintinbuildingsandrelatedstructuresneedstobemonitoredforleadcontentinordertodeterminethepotentialleadhazard.Hence,effectiveandefficientmethodsarerequiredforthepreparationofpaintsamplesthatmaycontainlead.Thispracticemaybeusedforthedigestionofpaintsamplesthatarecollectedduringvariouslead-hazardcontrolandriskassessmentactivitiesassociatedwithleadabatementinandaroundbuildingsandrelatedstructures.Thispracticeisalsosuitableforthedigestionofpaintsamplescollectedfromlocationssuchascommercialbuildings.Thispracticemaybeusedtopreparesamplesthathavebeenobtainedinordertoensurecompliancewithlawsthatgovernleadcontentinpaints.Thispracticemaybeusedtopreparesamplesthathavebeencollectedforriskassessmentpurposes.Thispracticeisintendedforusewithpaintsamplesthatarepreparedforsubsequentanalysisbylaboratory-basedquantitativeanalyticalmethods.1.1Thispracticecoversthesamplepreparationproceduresforpaintsamplesthatarecollectedduringtheassessment,managementorcontrolofleadhazards.1.2Thispracticedescribesthedigestionproceduresusingahotplateormicrowaveovenorapparatusforpaintsamplesthataretobeanalyzedforleadcontent.1.3Thispracticecoversthegeneralconsiderationsforquantitativesampleextractionfortotalrecoverableleadindriedpaintsamples(eitherbulkpaintorpaintpowder)usinghotplateormicrowaveheatingtechniques,orboth.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.5Thispracticecontainsnotesthatareexplanatoryandnotpartofthemandatoryrequirementsofthestandard.1.6ThispracticeisbasedontwoNIOSHMethods,7082and7105,andonanEPAstandardoperatingprocedureforleadinpaint.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,see6.2.4.4and7.2.1.
